Bobbi Brown Pretty Powerful

by Olivia Cox March 17

Last week we celebrated International Women Day (yay go us), and I started it off by attending the launch of Bobbi Brown’s Pretty Powerful 2017 campaign.

Every year since 2013, Bobbi Brown launches a campaign that donates full RRP (less vat) from the sales of Pretty Powerful Pot Rouge to a charity called Smart Works. Usually this is limited edition, but this year’s Pretty Powerful III (which is a universally flattering pink, btw) will be added to the core collection and available indefinitely.

Smart Works is a UK charity that provides high quality interview clothes, styling advice and interview training to women who need it.  Their aim is to give women the confidence, the self-belief and the practical tools required to succeed at interview and start a new chapter of life. It’s about building women up and allowing them to take the next steps in their lives, so they do things like interview training, and dressing – each women receives a high-quality interview outfit (theirs to keep) tailored to their taste and style by the Smart Works’ stylists.

Since Bobbi’s ethos is all about fuelling confidence empowerment, it is a perfect match to the charity. They aim to promoting confidence in women through natural beauty, empowering women and girls through educational or career training programs, providing them with crucial knowledge, skills and experience needed to overcome the inequities and disadvantages that far too many of them face each day.

And the annual Pretty Powerful campaign has raised invaluable funds as well as garnering support and awareness for the charity. Fittingly, we gathered at Psycle on International Womens Day for a female-lead spin class. It was mega. We were all encouraged to identify a woman who inspires us and during those dig-deep moments of the ride, we fuelled our motivation with those thoughts.

You can buy the new Pretty Powerful Pot Rouge in Pretty Powerful III at all Bobbi Brown studios and online, £21.
