Without sounding too overtly shallow, I kind of think Tom Ford has nailed our needs this party season.
Because clever Mr Ford is celebrating Christmas by launching his latest collection of 50 limited edition lip colours (which explains the ‘lips’ bit). It’s a series of clutch-sized minis in every hue from violet to nude, and all named after men (and that’s the ‘boys’ part dealt with, too) who’ve had an influence on mr TF’s life over the years.
There’s names life Colin (aka Firth. Obv), Wes, Sebastian and Blake.
I was asked to pick out a shade to wear at the launch party, and was immediately drawn to Raphael. It’s the most perfect true-red – not too warm, not too cold. And it looks pretty damn fabulous printed onto the side of a glass of Me by Melia Hotel’s yummy Laurent-Perriet (tried and tested).
The collection is exclusive to Selfridges, and goes on-sale on 25th December. Yup – Christmas day.
Get ’em while they’re hawwwt..
