Last night was the premiere of Eddie The Eagle at Odeon in Leicester Square. And it was *so* good. Seriously – total heart-warmer and feel good. Exactly what I needed.

I’ll tell you more about Hugh Jackman et al in a later post, but for now I wanted to share what I wore and how I got ready (spoiler alert: I had help…)

So here’s how to get ready for a red (ok, it was actually blue..) carpet premiere…

HAIR – I’ve just had my hair highlighted and cut by my dream team of Jack & Nana at Neville. So the style for last night was an easy choice – I wanted it down and floaty, to show it off. So I had a signature Neville wavy blow-dry.

BEAUTY – There’s rarely enough time to squeeze everything in before an event, so I tend to prioritise the areas that need it most. Yesterday was the turn of tan and brows, so I headed to Benefit.  I chronically over-plucked circa 2000 so fight a daily battle to give my brows shape and volume. This is now a gazillion times easy thanks to a speedy brow arch and tint. Until next month… I did my tan the night before, using Tan Organic.

OUTFIT – Red carpet outfits can be a tricky one, especially in this weather. I recently discovered Self Portrait, which is a London-based brand that designs quirky takes on classic cuts and is basically pretty awesome. They’ve been going a couple of years now and are stocked literally everywhere. My jacket is from Juicy Couture.

ACCESSORIES – The latest jewellery trend I’m really into is hand cuffs. They’re pretty impractical if you actually have to do anything (eating with cutlery is out, FYI), but they look great. Mine is by Lola and Grace.

DATE – I took my dad! He’s really into film because of his job (film editor), and is forever taking me to cool screenings at BAFTA. I loved being able to return the favour, even if I think my constant popcorn munching was probably pretty annoying by the end of the film!

And it’s Stylist approved – the look made their best dressed list – what a freaking accolade!
